assessment & strategic Fund Development Planning
We will conduct a formal assessment of your organization's fundraising capabilities, including your staffing capacity, messaging, track record, financials, and Board's potential to help raise the funds necessary to sustain and grow your organization. Based on the assessment results, we will deliver an actionable Fund Development Plan - a detailed roadmap to help grow and diversify your revenue streams. The plan will be aligned with your organization’s strategic plan and include revenue goals by source and year as well as specific strategies, tactics, timeframes and responsible parties to attain those goals and ensure your organization's future sustainability.
Executive Coaching
Drawing on his 25 years’ experience as a consultant to nonprofits of all types and sizes, Kenny Weill will work one-on-one with your Executive Director to help position them and your organization for fundraising success. Coaching arrangements are flexible and include regular strategy sessions on topics such as revenue diversification, messaging and visibility, donor meeting preparation and debriefs, cultivation and solicitation tactics, development staffing and budgeting, and working with the Board on revenue generation.
board & Staff Training
We are available to conduct trainings onsite or online for your staff and/or Board members on a variety of fund development topics. Each interactive training comes with clear learning objectives, engaging exercises and plenty of time for Q&A.
Messaging
The Case for Support (Case Statement) is the crux of all fundraising. We will work with you to create a compelling case designed to convince potential supporters to give or give more. The case statement can be used for a specific campaign or program as well as for general fundraising purposes. We can generate the case in a variety of formats, such as a slide deck, talking points, brief narrative and more.
Donor Research & Prioritization
Using powerful tools that draw from a myriad of public sources, we will research your current donors, broader contact list and/or new major gift prospects. We then will help you prioritize the findings based on five variables – capacity, past giving, geography, contact and engagement – to generate a targeted list of individuals with the highest likelihood of providing substantial gifts to your organization.
Grant Seeking
Our Grants team has written well over one thousand grant proposals and concept papers. We have secured tens of millions of dollars in grants from dozens of government agencies, foundations and corporate giving programs. We also work with your staff to generate reports to funders. And we conduct grant prospect research and summarize findings in a comprehensive grant tracker, then help you prioritize your work, strategize your approach and reach out to top prospects - all before putting anything in writing.
Writing & Editing
We understand the powerful role the written word plays in increasing an agency’s visibility and positioning it for fundraising success. Using clear, concise and compelling language, we will craft language that communicates your organization’s story - and what makes it unique. Examples include case statements, appeals, annual reports, web content, newsletters, brochures, reports, and press releases. We also pride ourselves on our copy-editing expertise and can review, edit and update content you have drafted.
